The sale runs two days. Getting ready takes ten minutes, and its what decides whether you walk away with the thing you wanted or the thing Amazon put in front of you.
Everything you need, in the right order.
The short version
- Prime Big Deal Days, 6 and 7 October. 48 hours, Prime members only.
- Three things to sort before: the membership, a wish list, a voltage check.
- Three checks at the till: the $75 tax line, the $49 shipping line, and paying in dollars instead of shekels.
- And the store: the US for clothes and gadgets, Germany and the UK for anything that goes in a socket.
What it actually is
48 straight hours, running in more than 20 Amazon stores at once. The discounts sit at Black Friday levels, mostly in tech, toys, tools and Amazons own smart home gear.
This is the sale that opens the holiday season. Amazon wants your money before November, and these prices are open to Prime members only.
Three things to sort now
- Prime, and probably without paying. No membership in the past year, theres a 30 day free trial. Already used it, there is a weekly or monthly plan for a few dollars. Aged 18 to 24 or a student, six months free and half price after that. Do it now, student verification takes time.
- A wish list, today and not during the sale. Add everything you want now and look at the price. On 6 October, when a sale tag shows up, youll know in a second whether the discount is real or whether the price went up and then came down.
- Voltage, before you fall in love. The US runs on 110V, we run on 230. An electrical item that does not say 110-240V will need a transformer, and thats no longer the price you got excited about. For appliances, power tools and kitchen gear, start in Germany or the UK.
Three checks at the till
- The tax line, $75. Personal imports up to $75 are clear of VAT and duty, counted on the goods alone, without the shipping. Two traps: Amazon works out the import fees deposit from the price BEFORE the coupon, and two orders from the same supplier arriving within 72 hours can be counted together. Close to the line, leave two days between orders.
- The shipping line, $49. Free shipping to Israel on eligible items, from $49. Stuck at 42, top it up with something you were buying anyway. And if you saw a headline about free shipping with no minimum, that lasted two days in August before Amazon shut it down. The line is 49.
- Currency, dollars and not shekels. At checkout Amazon offers to convert the total into shekels. Say no. Its rate is not your cards rate, and the difference comes out of your pocket.
Numbers checked on 24 September 2026. The $75 line has moved three times since December, so its worth confirming on the day you order.
Which store for what
The sale runs in every Amazon store at once, and they are not all the right place for the same thing. The difference is power and shipping.
- Amazon US. 110V, so an electrical item has to say 110-240V. In exchange, free shipping from $49 on eligible items. Best for clothing and footwear, gadgets, toys and storage.
- Amazon Germany. 230V and the same plug we use, no adapter and no transformer. Shipping is paid and goes by weight, but the local VAT comes off at checkout when it ships to Israel. Best for power tools, kitchen gear and grooming.
- Amazon UK. 230V, you only need a plug adapter. Paid shipping by weight. Best for toys, board games and fashion.
And one that catches people out: Prime is per store. A US membership does not open the German prices.
Something big, heavy, or where a local warranty matters to you, check the price at home first. And if your price did not drop during the sale, the 10th of the month lands three days later, and the Mastercard Day benefit changes month to month.
You dont win a two day sale by scrolling. You win it with a list.
